Maids of Distinction (MOD) is a women-owned professional cleaning company established in 1988. For more than three decades, MOD has provided high-quality commercial cleaning services with a personal touch to clients throughout the Greater Aquidneck Island area.
Our experienced team is highly trained, fully insured, and committed to delivering exceptional results. Many of our staff members have been with the company for years, creating a knowledgeable and dependable crew that takes pride in their work. Today, MOD continues to operate under its original founder and owner, Linda Kerr, whose dedication to excellence and strong work ethic remain the foundation of the company.

Our Founder
Founder and owner Linda Kerr is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. She is also a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, having served in the reserves in Port Security and Maritime Law Enforcement.
Linda credits her success to a lifelong commitment to hard work and determination.

She began her journey by starting the residential cleaning company, Maids Of Dinstinction, in Massachusetts.
“I cleaned my way through college. I found a real sense of satisfaction helping clients and seeing the results.”
The business quickly grew and achieved strong success in Massachusetts before Linda made the decision to sell that branch and focus on building something even greater.
“I felt it was time to transfer it to someone else and put my focus on building again in a new area.”
That new chapter became MOD in Rhode Island.

Today, MOD specializes in commercial cleaning, servicing offices, yachts, estates, and commercial buildings. The company’s deep roots in residential cleaning bring an elevated level of care, detail, and cleaniness to every commercial space we maintain.
